Some Russian keyboard maps
If you don't have a Russian keyboard map, you can download one of three Russian xkeymap files. All three main Cyrillic encodings are supported:
If you are not forced to use other encodings, I strongly recommend you to choose ISO 8859-5. You activate your favourite keymap if you type:xmodmap <xmodmap_file>If you type this command again you will disable this keymap.
All three keymaps have the same keybooard layout. In order to get
a Russian character you must hold CapsLock key and press a key with appropriate
Russian character, according to the picture:
